Shibuyakushi An is located near the center of the Shibu Onsen area, directly across from the Shibu Oyu bathhouse. To reach the temple, visitors must climb a steep set of 78 stone steps. It is said that visiting Shibuyakushi An after touring the nine public bathhouses of Shibu Onsen will grant the visitor's wishes. The temple offers views of the hot spring town and surrounding scenery from its elevated location. After visiting the temple, it is recommended to relax at the nearby Oyu bathhouse or foot bath.
