The Kiso no Kakehashi, or "Kiso Bridge," is a historic site along the Nakasendo Highway in Kiso, Nagano Prefecture. Once a challenging section of the road, it originally consisted of a simple path built along a cliff face using logs and planks. During the Edo period, the Owari clan reinforced the path with stone walls and wooden bridges. Today, a modern road covers much of the original structure, but visitors can still see remnants of the stone walls. To get a full view, cross the red bridge over the Kiso River. The site offers a glimpse into the ingenuity required to navigate the steep terrain of the Kiso Valley.
