The Chuyoshi Wagei Residence, located in the historic Uchiko town, offers a glimpse into the life of a branch family of the Haga clan, who prospered in the wax industry during the Meiji and Taisho eras. Once the villa of the head of the former Uchiko Bank, this residence now features a charming garden and a gallery. Visitors can explore the traditional architecture and serene atmosphere for a small admission fee. Note that it can be easily missed, so keep an eye out for the sign. It's also used as a guesthouse.
