Explore the historic Yuasa Castle Ruins, the former stronghold of the Yuasa clan, dating back to 1143. This mountain castle, located in Aoki, Yuasa Town, features remnants of earthworks, moats, and wells. During the Nanboku-cho period, it served as a refuge for Prince Yoshiari, grandson of Emperor Gomurakami. While the castle keep is no longer standing, the site offers a glimpse into the area's rich samurai history. The ruins are a 30-minute walk from Yuasa Station.
