The Gobyobashi Bridge marks the entrance to the most sacred area of Koyasan, leading to the Okunoin where Kobo Daishi is enshrined. It is believed that Kobo Daishi welcomes and sees off visitors at this bridge. The bridge is composed of 37 planks, representing the 37 deities of the Diamond Realm Mandala. Remember to show respect by bowing before crossing, as photography is prohibited beyond this point. Located along the Okunoin Pilgrimage Path in Koyasan, it's a 15-minute bus ride from Koyasan Station. Experience the serene atmosphere as you transition into a deeply spiritual space.
