Okubo-ji Temple, the 88th temple on the Shikoku Pilgrimage, marks the end of the journey. Historically, it welcomed women early on, earning recognition as a "Women's Koya." Pilgrims leave behind their walking sticks and hats here. Known for its stunning autumn foliage, especially the maple and ginkgo trees, the best time to visit for fall colors is early November. Located in Sanuki, Kagawa Prefecture, it's accessible by car from Kotoden Nagao Station (30 minutes) or the Komi-yu Community Bus. The temple offers barrier-free access, including wheelchair-accessible toilets and slopes.
