Seibikan

Overview

Seibikan is a unique building located within Seibien Garden, a representative example of the Oishi Buke style gardens common in the Tsugaru region. This unusual structure features a traditional sukiya-style Japanese design on the first floor and a Renaissance-style Western design on the second floor. It's said that the garden and building served as a model for the Ghibli film "Arrietty," drawing many tourists from Japan and abroad. Open from mid-April to late November (check specific dates), with discounted winter admission to the garden. Seibikan is a 10-minute walk from Tsugaru-Onoe Station on the Konan Railway Konan Line.
