Shiramine Shrine, located in Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture, is dedicated to Emperor Sutoku. Founded approximately 800 years ago by order of Emperor Nijo to appease the spirit of Emperor Sutoku, the shrine features a unique "Miwa Torii" gate. Adjacent to the 79th temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, Tenno-ji Temple, Shiramine Shrine offers a serene atmosphere with notable sights including a majestic horse statue and a 500-year-old camphor tree. Visitors can easily access the shrine via a 5-minute walk from Yoshiba Station or a 10-minute drive from Sakaide Station. It's a peaceful destination to explore alongside Tenno-ji Temple.
