Discover the Okhotsk Tower, Japan's only ice sea observation tower, located at the end of the 515-meter Monbetsu Port's third breakwater. This unique tower offers a dual perspective of the Okhotsk Sea: observe the expansive drift ice from the 3rd floor and explore the underwater world from the seabed level. The tower features a mini-aquarium on the seabed floor, providing a glimpse into the marine life of the region. Open year-round, the tower is especially popular during the drift ice season in winter. The tower is accessible by car or bus from Monbetsu Bus Terminal. The facility also offers barrier-free access, including wheelchair-accessible restrooms and ramps.
