Shiroyama Historical Park, located in Kaminoseki, Yamaguchi, offers a glimpse into the area's naval history. Once the site of a Murakami Navy castle during the Muromachi period, the park now features observation platforms and rest areas with stunning views of the Seto Inland Sea. Visit in late February to mid-March to witness the vibrant contrast of approximately 190 Kawazu cherry trees and 4,000 early-blooming daffodils against the blue sea. The park is easily accessible by bus from JR Yanai Station or by car from Kumage or Kuga IC. Free parking is available.
