Entsuji Temple in Mutsu, Aomori, stands on the former site of the Tōnan Domain government, offering a poignant glimpse into the history of the Aizu clan following the Boshin War. Exiled to the Shimokita Peninsula, the Aizu clan was permitted to re-establish themselves as the Tōnan Domain. Entsuji Temple served as the domain's government office in 1871.
