The Yoshimizu Shrine Shoin, a designated Important Cultural Property and a component of the UNESCO World Heritage site, is celebrated as Japan's oldest example of Shoin-style residential architecture from the Muromachi period. Explore historical rooms like the Hideout of Yoshitsune, the Imperial Throne Room of Emperor Go-Daigo, and the Northern Room. The shrine displays over 100 treasures, including artifacts related to the Southern Court, Yoshitsune and Shizuka, and vases used by Hideyoshi for cherry blossom viewing. Located in Yoshino, Nara, it's a 20-minute walk from Yoshinoyama Station (accessible by ropeway from Kintetsu Yoshino Station). Open to visitors, with an admission fee of ¥600 for adults.
