Zuiryuji Temple, located in old Inabu, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, is a temple of the Myoshinji school of the Rinzai sect. Its impressive bell tower gate houses a bell above the main gate. The temple is home to a Benzaiten statue said to have been carved by Kobo Daishi Kukai himself. The weeping cherry tree on the grounds, estimated to be over 370 years old, is designated as a prefectural natural monument. Once on the verge of dying, it was successfully revived by dedicated locals. The sight of the branches extending and flowering profusely from the grounds alongside the bell tower gate is a must-see. It is conveniently located along National Route 153. Access is about a 10-minute walk from the final stop of the Toyota Oiden Bus (Rapid Inabu) "Donguri no Yu Mae" or 40 minutes by car from the Sarutoge Green Road "Rikiishi IC."
