Ushimado Shrine, the guardian of the Ushimado area, is located just beside Ushimado Beach. Ascend the 363 stone steps through a dense grove of trees to reach this serene shrine, dedicated to Empress Jingu and other deities. The main hall features numerous ema (votive tablets) and paintings, some of which are said to have inspired Takehisa Yumeji's artistic career. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Seto Inland Sea from the shrine grounds. The shrine is a 20-minute drive from the Oku IC on the Okayama Blue Line. Consider visiting in the afternoon to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and scenic beauty.
