Located along the banks of the Mitsasa River in Misasa Onsen, the Kawahara Bath and Foot Bath Kawahara no Yu offer a unique and free open-air bathing experience. The foot bath is easily accessible and provides a relaxing way to enjoy the natural surroundings. The adjacent open-air bath, however, is very exposed with minimal screening, requiring considerable courage to use, especially during the day. It's most popular with local men. Visitors may prefer to enjoy the foot bath or explore other bathing facilities nearby. The best time to visit is during the day to appreciate the scenery, though be mindful of the lack of privacy.
