The Horse's Back (Uma-no-se) is a 2km ridge path connecting Mount Kumano and Mount Katta in the Zao mountain range, Miyagi Prefecture. This expansive ridgeline offers stunning panoramic views. The path may be closed due to volcanic alerts. Hikers can enjoy views of snow-capped mountains in June, but should bring warm clothing. Be cautious of slippery gravel on the steep slopes. It provides an alternative view of Okama crater, with Mount Goshiki in the background. It's a pleasant walking course with views of the Okama's changing water colors.
