Overview

Located right next to JR Handa Station, the Handa City Railway Museum is a must-visit for railway enthusiasts. This small museum, housed in a prefabricated building, showcases valuable materials related to the local Taketoyo Line. A highlight is the preserved C11265 steam locomotive on outdoor display, offering a close-up look at railway history. Note that the museum is only open on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month (2nd and 3rd in January) from 10:00 to 15:00. Even when closed, the steam locomotive can still be viewed from outside.
