Fudo Falls, the largest waterfall in the Zao mountain range, offers a scenic escape accessible via the Zao Echo Line. You can view the falls from the Takimidai observation point, though a closer view is available from the Fudo Falls observation deck. The falls are particularly stunning during the autumn foliage season when the surrounding trees burst into vibrant red hues. The falls are also home to the Zao Fudo-son, a Buddhist deity. The falls are accessible by Miyako Bus from JR Shiroishi-Zao Station to Tōgatta Onsen, then a 15-minute taxi ride.
