The Hyakushaku Kannon is an impressive, partially completed stone carving of Kannon, the Buddhist deity of mercy, located in Soma, Fukushima. Carved into the rock face, this monument has been worked on by local sculptors for generations, though funding challenges have left it unfinished. Visitors can freely view the Kannon, which stands near a pond just off Route 6. The site includes parking and is accessible via a short walk from the Hyakushaku Kannon Iriguchi bus stop on the JR Soma Station line. While a small shop and eatery are on-site, they may not be open on weekdays, so plan accordingly.
