Michinoku Lakeside National Government Park, the first national park in the Tohoku region, is centered around Lake Kamafusa. The park is divided into three areas: North, South, and the newly opened Satoyama area. Visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers and events throughout the year, as well as camping facilities. Key attractions include flower festivals, BBQ areas, playgrounds, and traditional Japanese houses in the Furusato Village. The park is accessible by bus from Sendai Station or a short drive from the Miyagi Kawasaki IC. Note that there is an entrance fee and parking fee.
