Overview

Saruhashi Bridge, also known as Monkey Bridge, is one of Japan's three most unique bridges, alongside Kintai Bridge and the Kisoji Suspension Bridge. Located in Otsuki, Yamanashi Prefecture, it spans the deep and beautiful Katsuragawa Valley. This remarkable 31-meter-long bridge stands 31 meters high and is supported by four layers of cantilevered beams extending from both banks, eliminating the need for piers. Visitors can appreciate its unusual architecture and scenic beauty throughout the year, with autumn foliage offering a particularly stunning backdrop.
