The Kitayamazaki Visitor Center, located a short walk from the Kitayamazaki parking area and along the path to the first observation point, serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the stunning Kitayamazaki cliffs. This log-house style facility offers valuable information about the area's natural environment, including its seasonal beauty, flora, fauna, topography, and geology. A high-definition theater showcases the seasonal views of Kitayamazaki, perfect for days with poor visibility. Knowledgeable staff can provide guidance on hiking trails and suggest optimal routes. The center also features exhibits on the local ecosystem, including shells and animal specimens. Open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (4:00 PM in winter), and closed during the New Year holidays, admission is free.
