Shiroyama Park, located on a hill offering panoramic views of Murata Town, is the former site of Murata Castle, once home to Murata Tate during the Edo period. Stroll along the walking paths through the trees, which lead to the History Mirai Museum. The park is easily accessible, just a short drive from the Murata Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway and a 20-minute bus ride from Ogawara Station on the Tohoku Main Line. The park features barrier-free facilities, including wheelchair-accessible restrooms and acceptance of guide dogs. Visit in mid-April to enjoy the cherry blossom festival, or explore the area in May when the lush greenery provides a refreshing atmosphere. Parking is available.
