The Hokuto City Great Purple Emperor Butterfly Center is located in Yamanashi Prefecture, a 10-minute walk from JR Chuo Line Hinoharu Station. This museum showcases the majestic Great Purple Emperor butterfly, Japan's national butterfly, through exhibits and live observation areas. Visitors can learn about the butterfly's ecology and life cycle, as well as view a variety of other insect specimens. The center also features a forest science hall and outdoor nature park with walking trails.
