Iitaka Shrine, located in Sōsa City, Chiba Prefecture, is an authentic shrine known for its architectural beauty. The main hall and worship hall are surrounded by a sacred fence. Inside the worship hall, visitors can admire 133 painted panels (one is missing) depicting plants on the ceiling, as well as intricate carvings of the "Twenty-four Paragons of Filial Piety" on the sacred fence. The main hall is designated as a tangible cultural property of Chiba Prefecture. The shrine is accessible by bus from Yokoshibahayakawa Station, a 5-minute walk from the Iitaka Nakadai bus stop. Admission is free, making it an ideal destination for a cultural visit.
