The Okinawa Prefectural Peace Memorial Museum, located on Mabuni Hill, a site marking the end of the Battle of Okinawa, focuses on the war experiences of residents through their testimonies. Rebuilt in 2000, it features five permanent exhibition rooms detailing the realities of the Battle of Okinawa, along with process and special exhibition rooms. The museum aims to share Okinawa's present efforts towards peace creation. It is accessible by bus from Naha Bus Terminal (85 minutes). Open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM), closed from December 29th to January 3rd. Admission is ¥150 for children and ¥300 for adults, with group discounts available.
