Located in Shodoshima, Yamaroku Chaya is part of the renowned Yamaroku Soy Sauce brewery, a place dedicated to preserving traditional soy sauce-making techniques. Visitors can tour the brewery to see the cedar barrels and learn about the fermentation process. The chaya (teahouse) offers unique soy sauce-flavored treats like soy sauce pudding and ice cream. It's an ideal spot to experience authentic Japanese flavors in a rustic setting. Note that the teahouse is primarily outdoors, so dress accordingly for the weather. The brewery is located along a narrow road, so drive carefully.
