The Makino Kogen Family Ski Resort, established in the early Showa era, offers a delightful winter experience for families and beginners. Located at the foot of Mt. Akasaka, this expansive 300,000 square meter area is perfect for skiing, snowboarding, and snow play. It's especially popular with families, offering gentle slopes ideal for sledding and snow activities. Note that there are no ski lifts; only a Sun Kid moving walkway is in operation. Open from January to March depending on snow conditions, the resort charges ¥1,000 for an adult day pass. Parking is available for a fee, with onsen facilities located within the Makino Kogen area.
