Suwa Grand Shrine Shimosha Harumiya, believed to be the first enshrined location of the Shimosha, retains the form of an agricultural and pioneering deity. Located in Shimosuwa Town, Nagano Prefecture, it's a 15-minute drive from Okaya IC or a 25-minute drive from Suwa IC, followed by a 15-minute walk, or a 15-minute walk from Shimosuwa Station on the JR Chuo Main Line. The shrine features the significant cultural properties of the Hihai-den (offering hall) and the left and right Katahai-den (side offering halls). Don't miss the "Musubi no Sugi" (connecting cedar) within the grounds, said to bring luck in relationships. Parking is available for 20 cars.
