The Nakashi Family Residence, located in the historic Imai-cho district of Kashihara, Nara, offers a glimpse into the life of a merchant family during the Edo period. Known as "Komehiko," the family operated a rice shop. While the interior is not open to the public, visitors can admire the traditional machiya (townhouse) architecture from the exterior, including the tiled roof and latticed windows. The residence is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from Yagi-nishiguchi Station. The best time to appreciate the exterior is during the afternoon.
