The Tochigi City Hall Annex is a beautifully restored, eye-catching emerald green Western-style building dating back to the Taisho era. Originally built on the site of the former prefectural government, it now houses a literary museum. Visitors can explore exhibits related to Tochigi City and its notable figures, with a portion of the floor offering a glimpse into the building's architectural structure. The annex is surrounded by a moat, once part of the original prefectural government complex, where you can see ducks and koi. It's a great place to take a break while exploring the Koedo Tochigi area. The first floor is free, while there is an admission fee for the second floor.
