Explore Nikko Suginamiki, a 37 km avenue of Japanese cedar trees, a designated Special Historic Site and Natural Monument. Planted in the Edo period by Masatsuna Matsudaira, over 12,000 trees remain today. Stroll along the ancient Nikko Kaido, accessible from JR Nikko Line's Fumasaka Station, or drive through portions of the avenue. Don't miss the rare cherry blossom grafted onto a cedar on the right side of the Nikko Kaido towards Utsunomiya. The avenue offers a serene escape into nature and history, perfect for a refreshing walk any time of year.
