Ikaho Shrine, located at the top of the iconic 365-step stone staircase in Ikaho Onsen, is a historic site with roots tracing back to the Heian period. Originally dedicated to Mount Mizusawa, it later became the guardian shrine of the hot springs. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains from the shrine grounds. The shrine is known for bestowing blessings for childbirth and matchmaking. The annual grand festival is held on September 19th. It's best to visit in the morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds.
