Minobusan Kuonji Temple Treasure Museum

Overview

Located beneath the main hall of Minobusan Kuonji Temple, the Treasure Museum showcases the temple's extensive collection of national treasures, important cultural properties, and designated cultural assets from the Minobu Library. Exhibits are rotated regularly. Highlights include ancient documents, Buddhist paintings, and artifacts related to the temple's history and founder, Nichiren. Visitors can also experience a short, complimentary sutra copying session within the museum. Admission is ¥300 for adults, with discounts for students. A visit offers a cool respite during the summer months and a deeper understanding of Nichiren Buddhism.
