The Ume (Plum) Festival at Mt. Kanmuri General Park is a must-see from early to late February, showcasing approximately 2,000 plum trees of 100 different varieties in full bloom. Enjoy panoramic views of the Seto Inland Sea from the summit. The park, located in Yamaguchi Prefecture, hosts various events such as tea ceremonies, traditional Japanese music, and dance performances during the festival. It's easily accessible by bus from JR Hikari Station. Note that there is an entry fee of ¥100 on weekends and holidays (free for junior high school students and younger).
