Nishiyama Park, recognized as one of Japan's top 100 historical parks, is located in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, easily accessible by a 20-minute walk from Sabae Station or a 3-minute walk from Nishiyama-koen Station. This expansive park is famous for its stunning display of approximately 50,000 azaleas that bloom in May. Visitors can also enjoy a traditional Japanese garden, the Nishiyama Zoo, home to adorable red pandas, and the Panda Land athletic area. The park is also known for its 1,600 maple trees, making it a beautiful spot for autumn foliage. The annual Azalea Festival in May draws many tourists.
