Minobashi Bridge, also known as the Minokyo, is a vibrant red suspension bridge stretching across the Nagara River in Mino City, Gifu Prefecture. Completed in 1916, it's recognized as Japan's oldest modern suspension bridge and is designated as an Important Cultural Property. While only pedestrians and cyclists are allowed to cross (with a limit of 20 people at a time), the bridge offers stunning views of the Nagara River and surrounding mountains. Visitors can park at the nearby Michi-no-Eki (roadside station) and take a leisurely stroll to the bridge. Note that it may be undergoing construction, so check ahead before visiting. The bridge is especially picturesque with its red color contrasting against the river and sky.
