The Omote Fuji-Miyaguchi Climbing Trail offers a direct route to the summit of Mount Fuji from the Shizuoka Prefecture side. Starting at the 5th station (Fujinomiya Exit) at an elevation of 2,400m, it's the shortest climb to the peak. The trail features mountain huts at convenient intervals for rest and supplies. Be prepared for steep, rocky sections, especially near the summit. During peak season, access is via shuttle bus from Mizugatsuka Parking, but off-season, you can drive up the Fuji Skyline. Consider acclimatizing to the altitude at the 5th station before starting your ascent. The trail also provides access to Mount Hoei.
