The Kagawa Family Nagayamon Gate, located in Iwakuni, is the former main gate of the Kagawa family residence, who were retainers of the Iwakuni clan. Built in 1693 by Kagawa Masatsune, it's one of the oldest structures in Iwakuni. The gate features roof tiles each engraved with the family crest. While the interior is not accessible as it's a private residence, visitors can appreciate the historical architecture from the outside. Situated near Kintai Bridge in Yokoyama, it's a short walk from the Kintai Bridge bus stop. This historical site offers a glimpse into the Edo period and is best viewed during the afternoon.
