The Shinkyo Bridge, also known as Takachiho Sandai Bridge, is a historic stone arch bridge located in Takachiho Gorge, Miyazaki Prefecture. Originally built as a wooden bridge in the Taisho era, it was rebuilt as a stone bridge in 1947 after being washed away by a flood. As part of the "Three Bridges of Takachiho," it offers a picturesque view alongside the Takachiho Ohashi and Shinto Takachiho Ohashi bridges. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the Gokase River and the surrounding gorge from the bridge. It's conveniently located near the Araragi parking area, making it an accessible spot for tourists exploring Takachiho Gorge. The bridge is a great photo spot, especially when viewed from the Takachiho Promenade.
