Angel Road is a popular scenic spot on Shodoshima Island where a sandbar appears and disappears twice daily with the tides, connecting four islands. During low tide, you can walk across to Yojima Island. It's known as a romantic place where it's said that wishes come true if you cross the sandbar hand-in-hand with someone special. The path extends for 0.8 km. Check the tide schedule at the local tourist information center to plan your visit. The best views are from the "Hill of Promise" observation deck.
