Located at the easternmost point of the Choshi Peninsula, Inubosaki Lighthouse offers stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. This iconic white lighthouse, designated as an Important Cultural Property, was built in 1874 and is one of the few lighthouses in Japan that visitors can climb. Ascend the 99 steps of the spiral staircase for breathtaking scenery. The adjacent museum displays historical lighthouse equipment, including a large Fresnel lens. A white "happiness post" is located outside the lighthouse. Open to visitors for a small fee; note that access to the top closes early.
