The Ayatori Bridge, a striking vermilion S-shaped bridge, is a central feature of the Kakusenkei Gorge promenade in Yamanaka Onsen. Designed by Hiroshi Teshigahara, head of the Sogetsu School of Flower Arrangement, its unique design resembles a traditional Japanese string game. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the gorge and, from April to November, relax at the riverside platform (Kawayuka) marked by red parasols, where tea and sweets are served for a fee. The bridge is accessible by car from Kaga IC (approx. 18 minutes) or by bus from Kaga Onsen Station (34 minutes to Yamanaka Shisho-mae bus stop, then 0.3 km walk).
