The Mt. Raijin Burial Mound, located in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture, is Tohoku's largest keyhole-shaped tomb, designated as a national historic site. Estimated to have been built between the late 4th and early 5th centuries, the mound stretches 170 meters in length and features a unique keyhole shape that is still discernible today. Visitors can explore this ancient landmark, which also houses a shrine dedicated to the god of thunder at its peak. Situated approximately 1.5 km from JR Tatekoshi Station and 3 km from JR Natori Station, it's an easily accessible spot for a historical walk.
