Onuma Onsen

Overview

Onuma Onsen is a small hot spring area located along the Hachimantai Aspite Line on the Akita Prefecture side. It features two hotels, one ryokan (Japanese inn), and a day-trip bathing facility. The ryokan, formerly Hachimantai Lake Inn, is now known as Chaya Lake, a sister property of Fujishichi Onsen. The simple bathhouse offers a pleasant, slightly metallic-smelling, free-flowing hot spring experience. Situated right in front of Lake Onuma, it's an ideal spot to relax after a walk along the promenade. Easily accessible from the Onuma Onsen bus stop.
