Kyanse Furusato Kan

Located in the west exit of JR Kawauchi Station in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima, Kyanse Furusato Kan is a souvenir shop and local product center offering a wide array of regional specialties. Here you can find local favorites such as karukan (steamed cake), satsuma-age (fried fish cake), and shochu (Japanese distilled spirit). Don't miss the chance to try "chinko dango" (soy sauce dumplings), a local delicacy featured on TV. The shop also offers a selection of Satsuma pottery and other local crafts. There is a small eat-in space where you can enjoy local gelato made with ingredients from Satsumasendai.
