Mihashira Shrine, also known as the Three Pillar Shrine, is located in Yanagawa, Fukuoka, just a 5-minute walk from Nishitetsu Yanagawa Station. Founded in 1826, it enshrines three deities: the feudal lord Tachimana Muneshige, his wife Lady Ginchiyo, and his father-in-law, Todoki Dosetsu. The shrine is famous for its autumn festival called "Onigie," featuring the "Dorotsuku-don" parade float, a designated intangible folk cultural property of the prefecture. The shrine grounds also serve as Takahata Park, offering a serene atmosphere with lush greenery and a pond. Visit during the spring to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms.
