Kasama Inari Art Museum

Overview

Located behind Kasama Inari Shrine, the Kasama Inari Art Museum, opened in 1981, features a unique elevated, single-story structure modeled after Nara's Shosoin Treasure Repository. The museum's permanent collection showcases historical Kasama ware. Additionally, it houses a collection of ancient ceramics from the Six Old Kilns of medieval Japan, including Shigaraki ware, along with incense utensils, folding screens, hanging scrolls, and paintings. Open to visitors, admission is ¥300 for adults and discounted rates are available for students and groups. The museum is accessible by bus or a 20-minute walk from Kasama Station, or a 15-minute drive from the Tomobe IC on the Kita-Kanto Expressway. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms and service dog acceptance are available.
