Sakura no Sato, located at the foot of Mt. Omuro in Ito, Shizuoka, is a sprawling park boasting 1,500 cherry trees of 40 different varieties that bloom from September to June. In addition to cherry blossoms, visitors can enjoy wildflowers throughout the year and even early-blooming cosmos in June. The park features a volcanic wind cave and a grove of large chinquapin trees. The Sakura Museum within the park displays photographs of cherry blossoms and famous cherry blossom spots throughout Japan. Admission is free, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing stroll and enjoying the natural beauty of the Izu Peninsula. Easily accessible by bus from Ito Station, it's a perfect destination for nature lovers and families.
