Located in Daisen, Akita, it's accessible by bus from Omagari Station. The river is known for hosting the Omagari Fireworks Competition every August, a major event drawing large crowds. The river offers scenic views and a tranquil atmosphere, especially during winter. The riverbanks are also a place where the Donten festival is held, where people cross the river carrying portable shrines.
